Amazon Reportedly Rolling Out Map Tracking Which Shares Exact Package Location

Tracking your Amazon package is going to be really easy with the US launching the Amazon Map Tracking.

The feature which was launched at the end of last year will be available for all packages delivered by Amazon in the US, confirmed the company on Wednesday after Android Police wrote about it. This feature will provide an estimate on the arrival of the package, how many stops away the driver is and a map showing the delivery truck’s proximity to your home.

“The Amazon Map Tracking feature is another delivery innovation we are working on to improve convenience for our customers and provide them greater visibility into their deliveries,” said Amazon spokeswoman Alana Broadbent.

This feature is getting mixed reviews; some people are excited while some are getting a little freaked out.

This is not the first time that the e commerce giant has introduced tools in order to improve the process of delivery, along with the ability to unlock and deliver packages to people’s cars and homes. Another thing that Amazon is trying to do is, asking carriers to click pictures of packages after delivering, this will help them pin down where and when packages are delivered.
